What is Partial Stroke Testing (PST)?

LAPST is a manual, mechanical Partial Stroke Test device that verifies valve movement toward the safe position while keeping the process running. It requires no electronics, no software, and no DCS integration, ensuring maximum reliability.

Key Advantages

  • Zero interference with ESD/SIS safety functions
  • No power, wiring, or calibration required
  • High tolerance to dirty instrument air
  • IP66 stainless steel construction
  • Lower CAPEX & OPEX by eliminating positioners, cabling, I/O, and software
  • Universal compatibility with major actuator platforms

Why LAPST is more reliable?

A simple, fully mechanical device for safely testing Emergency Shutdown (ESD) valves — without the complexity, failures, or cost of automated PST systems. Developed under license from Saudi Aramco and approved under 9COM 6000010782.

Zero Interference with Safety

The safety function of the ESD valve remains untouched.

Mechanical Simplicity

No electronics means no obsolescence, no failure of smart positioners, and no hidden dependencies.

Manual Control

Operators can stop the test instantly — something automation can never guarantee.

Corrosion & Weather Protection

IP66-certified and built for real-world field conditions.
